WE CORDIALLY INVITE YOU TO JOIN OUR ORGANIZATION OF 1,800 STRONG

The goal of the Avalon Home and Land Owners (AHLOA) is to preserve or improve the atmosphere and aesthetics of our community. Since 1964 our five Officers and twenty-one Trustees have worked diligently to meet this goal.

Our Trustees liaise with other organizations to generate broad-based support for issues critical to our community. These issues include family atmosphere, land usage, quality of services, our beaches and bays, wetland preservation and dune and road development. Trustees work with Borough Officials to insure a consistent direction favorable to our interests. Regularly we publish a newsletter to keep our members informed regarding activities of local interest.

AHLOA is the ears of our members at council, planning board and zoning board meetings. Zoning matters have occupied the largest portion of the Association's effort since its formation. Good zoning and enforcement are largely responsible for Avalon's popularity and unique position.

You are welcome to attend our meetings. We meet monthly on the 2nd Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Senior Center, 31st and Dune. We meet annually on the 2rd Saturday in August at 9:30 A.M. in the Avalon Community Hall.

The cost to join our organization is $15 per year.
